Campus Resources

UT offers a variety of resources to help our students receiving VA benefits succeed. There may be times when you need advice, counseling, or medical care. Students are highly encouraged to take advantage of the resources made available to them. If you have questions about these resources, or don’t know where to start, drop by The Veterans Success Center to find out more information.

Academic Success Center

The staff of the Academic Success Center is committed to helping students take charge of their success at the University of Tennessee. Through academic support programs such as tutoring, supplemental instruction, academic coaching, and other educational enhancement programs, as well as our website and referral to the university’s other excellent curricular and co-curricular resources, the staff promotes undergraduate student excellence and persistence to graduation.

Student Counseling Center

The Student Counseling Center is the university’s primary facility for personal counseling, psychotherapy, and psychological outreach and consultation services. Our mission is to promote the psychological, educational, and social well-being of students at the University of Tennessee and to help prepare them to be productive members of society. Our staff members provide a variety of services for students, including:

  • Walk-in sessions
  • Crisis intervention
  • Group, individual, and couples counseling
  • Feel Better Fast workshops

Career Development

Career Development is here to help you with résumé writing, interviewing, career counseling and assessment and employment (part-time, full-time, and internships).

Student Disability Services

The Student Disability Services office assists students with documented disabilities by determining their eligibility for services and then working with students to determine reasonable accommodations and services which will, in turn, give the student equal access to the University. It is important for students to remember that it is their responsibility to request disability services in the post-secondary setting, and they can start the process here at SDS.
